Dr. Robert Hollister, recently retired public-school superintendent, was born and raised in Lancaster County. Bob served as the Superintendent of the Eastern Lancaster County School District for nearly 14 years and committed nearly 34 years in public education before running for Congress seeking a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2022.  He is currently running as a candidate for Lancaster County Commissioner.

After graduating from Millersville University, Bob began his career in education as an Industrial Arts/Technology Education teacher. His advanced degrees are from Villanova University and he earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University.                                                                                                                    

During his tenure as an educator, Bob served and volunteered his time and energy on multiple non-profit boards and on the boards of numerous professional organizations including as President of PACIE (Pennsylvania Council for International Education) and is currently an advisory board member for USGLC (United States Global Leadership Coalition).  He is the recipient of the prestigious David A. Portlock Outstanding International Educator Award.

As a life-long public servant, Bob views assisting with the International Club of Central Pennsylvania as a natural continuation of his public service which will use his knowledge, experience, and skills effectively to bridge cultures and build a better world for our children and theirs.
